Vilnius Airport to Kaunas

The fastest ways from Vilnius Airport to Kaunas are the direct Ollex bus (about 1 h 15 min) or a car on the A1 motorway (about 100 km). The cheaper but longer route is the train with a change at Vilnius railway station. Below are all three options and what to choose for a late flight.

Direct bus

The Ollex Airport Express links Vilnius Airport with Kaunas, with departures timed to flights; the stop is by the terminal exit. Tickets are sold online at ollex.lt and by the driver, but only an advance ticket guarantees a seat. Check the Kaunas stops and timetable at ollex.lt; from there a city bus or taxi takes you to the Old Town.

By train via Vilnius station

A train and city buses (Nos. 1, 2, 88) run from the airport to Vilnius railway station. From there LTG Link trains leave for Kaunas every 30–60 minutes; express trains take about an hour, regional trains a little longer. Tickets at ltglink.lt.
