About this stay
At the junction of Laisvės alėja, Vilniaus street, Savanorių prospektas and Šv. Gertrūdos street — where the City Centre, the Old Town and Žaliakalnis meet — it is hard to imagine a better address in Kaunas. Yet down in the historic 1908 underground vaults the street is completely inaudible: an experience no ordinary hotel in the city can offer.
Beneath the cobblestones of Kaunas Old Town lies a world of its own — a boutique hideaway set in century-old brick vaults, with its own private entrance from the street. At its heart is a spacious 35 m² candlelit lounge, from which four private rooms open — each an intimate retreat for two (a fifth is opening soon).
Every room has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee; Room 2 also has a kitchenette, and a 19 m² studio with its own kitchen and dining table is opening soon. Red-brick arches, marble floors and warm lighting turn every corner into a scene, while modern comfort — quality bedding and contemporary bathrooms — runs throughout.
Book a single room for two, or several rooms for your group — together the kingdom welcomes up to eight guests. There is nothing else like it in Kaunas.

Are the rooms really underground? Is there fresh air?

Each room is for 2 guests (one double bed); extra beds are not available. For a group, book several rooms — the four rooms together take up to 8 guests.
How much does a night cost?
From €46 per night for 2 guests on stays of 3 or more nights; a single night starts at €51 (Room 1), €61 (Rooms 3 and 4) or €66 (Room 2). Cleaning and city tax are included. The exact price depends on the dates and is shown before you pay.
Can I cancel for free?
Bookings made on this website can be cancelled free of charge up to 1 day before the check-in date, with a full refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.
