Basketball: Žalgiris home games
A Žalgiris game at Žalgiris Arena is one of the strongest experiences Kaunas offers: the arena holds about 15,000 fans, and EuroLeague nights often sell out. Confirmed home games: 15 November v Neptūnas (Lithuanian league, 16:30), 17 November v Bayern Munich and 19 November v Panathinaikos (EuroLeague), 4 December v Dubai Basketball (EuroLeague) and 6 December v Rytas (Lithuanian league, 16:30). Where to stay for events
Most big events take place in three venues: Žalgiris Arena on Nemunas Island, the Kaunas Sports Hall at the edge of Ąžuolynas Park and the Philharmonic in the centre. All three are within walking distance of the Old Town and Laisvės alėja, which makes those the most convenient areas to stay.
